HRCP (and the Local RC Hobby) Needs You!

HRCPNeeds

The Halifax RC Park Committee is in the process of adjusting its responsibilities and aims for the hobby in the region. We will continue to maintain and improve the Halifax RC Park in Beaver Bank, but will also endeavour to grow our hobby by becoming a hub for local RC information, and by engaging with the public at all types of events and shows.

To achieve those goals the committee needs more people. We’re seeking passionate members of the community who can provide a fresh input to our challenges and aims. We’re looking for people to sit permanently on the committee to help with the generation, organisation and execution of our plans. A new committee member would be expected to attend a handful of meetings throughout the year and to plan and assist with events at HRCP or other local shows – it’s not a huge commitment and any time you can give is welcome. We’re also looking for volunteers, who might not want to be on a committee, but who have the energy to help out at HRCP work parties, or that are keen to man stands and perform RC demonstrations at local shows and events.

If you are looking for a low stress way to give back to the Local RC Community, then becoming a committee member or volunteering for HRCP may be for you. If you are interested or have any questions, please email us at HalifaxRCPark@gmail.com and we can bring you up to speed.

Volunteer work with a registered not-for profit society looks great on a résumé.
