Although the threat of thunderstorms looked like it might cause the cancellation of today’s event at HRCP (kindly hosted by Sackvillerc), word from our eyes on the ground is that the park is dry and ready for everyone to arrive. See you all there from 11am until the batteries are depleted. (And as usual this time of year – wear sunscreen, hats and sun glasses)
The guys at Sackville RC will be out again at Halifax RC Park in Beaver Bank on July 23rd for a few hours of fun. Come along with whatever RCs you have, or just to spectate. Some of the committee from HRCP will be on hand too if you have any questions about the park.

Today’s event at HRCP was well attended and lots of fun. Thanks to all who came out. A big thank you to Sackville RC for organizing the event and getting the track in shape. They were up early this morning getting as much as 3 inches of water off a couple of the corners.
Here’s a short video from last weekend.
After a really successful day at the Halifax RC Park last week, Sackville RC club will be back there this coming Saturday (June 11th) for some more RC fun for everyone. They’ll start a little later this time (11am), and include in proceedings some 3-lap-races to help drivers to improve their racecraft. Race winners will get a food voucher for bbq food provided by the HRCP committee. Plus there’s going to be an ‘open-workbench’ available where you can get tips, advice or discuss improvements to your cars.
Members of the HalifaxRCPark society will be around so let us know if you enjoy the park and what improvements you’d like to see. We’re trying very hard to maintain this as a useful free facility for everyone so if you have fun then please consider making a donation to the HalifaxRCPark society to help maintain the park. Hope to see you there.

The weather forecast looks like the guys at SackvilleRC will be having a great free event this weekend (June 4th) for all sorts of RC cars. Stop by at HalifaxRCPark anytime after 10am with your cars, or just to spectate. People should be there for a few hours until their batteries die or until all their cars are broken. Keep an eye on http://sackvillerc.com for last minute updates.
If you do go along then we at Halifax RC Park would like your feedback on the track conditions. We’ve not yet planned our annual maintenance so it’d be great if we can fix any of your concerns about the track. Email us your feedback to HalifaxRCPark@gmail.com And if you’d like to help with our annual maintenence then email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get on our volunteers list.
The weather wasn’t kind to our friends over at Sackville RC last time they planned a FREE event-for-all at the Halifax RC Park in Beaverbank. So lets hope that June 4th brings sunshine and a dry track for another scheduled get together. Bring whatever RCs you have and have some fun on the track or the bash area. The event runs from 10am until all batteries are dead or until all cars are broken – whichever comes first!

The guys over at Sackville RC club are inviting everyone out for a FREE “Backyard Bash” on May 14th from 10am-2pm at Halifax RC Park in BeaverBank. They want to get as many people out just to have fun with their RCs, have some 3-lap play races, and generally blow the cobwebs away after a winter indoors. Come out and meet some like minded people. Beginners and spectators are very welcome.

Someone from Sackville RC visited the Halifax RC Park this weekend and got a good indication of conditions. If the weather gods are friendly we might get the track ready for late spring. Read more and check out a video and photos at – http://wp.me/p32KL7-2jK
